Financial & Insurance

In this day and time so much is offered to improve one's appearance and health. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't always cover what one would prefer to undertake. We take pride in providing the best of care, patient education and assistance in your dental treatment. We also want to be very clear in how we manage payment for services we provide.

If insurance coverage cannot be verified for your first visit (for new patients and emergencies) you must pay the full amount for that visit. Your insurance company will reimburse you.

Co-payments (estimated amounts the insurance company will not pay) must be paid at the time of service. For many procedures, we will collect your co-payment before treatment begins (i.e., surgery and sedation cases), thus allowing you to leave as soon as possible after treatment is complete.

We accept cash, personal and business checks, debit cards, MasterCard and Visa.

As a courtesy to you, our patient, we will submit and monitor your insurance claims for a reasonable amount of time. Most companies will pay your benefit in a timely manner, but some delay payment. We will expect you to pay the outstanding balance should the insurance company not remit payment within 60 days of submitting your claim. We will then do whatever we can to assist you in receiving the benefit from your insurance company.

Our Seniors (65+) are very special to us and we offer a 10% courtesy on their treatment.

We offer a pre-treatment courtesy when the total treatment fee is prepaid.

Interest-free payment plans for dental treatment are offered by an outside finance company called Care Credit. This is a wonderful option for care that may need to be paid for over time for up to 12 months.

Payment Options

Investing in one’s self, your health and well-being should be easy. Financial considerations should not be an obstacle for obtaining care. Understanding that different patients have different needs, we provide the following payment options:

  • Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plan Care Credit: Interest-Free monthly payment option for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. No interest, if balance is paid within a specified time period. Low monthly payments.
  • Cash or Check: A pre-payment courtesy of 5% is given for payment at least one week prior to treatment for full treatment plans.
  • Credit Card Payments: We accept MasterCard and Visa.
  • Company Flex Plan: Your company may offer a medical spending account, which allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for your medical expenses. Please contact your employer for more details.
  • Insurance Coverage: We will be happy to assist you in determining whether your insurance company will cover your dentistry. If your company does provide a benefit, our team will be happy to assist in filing your claim.

Insurance Information

Insurance plans vary, what one covers another may not. There are different types of insurance coverage: traditional indemnity plans, preferred provider organizations (PPO), and health maintenance organizations (HMO), to name a few. Traditional indemnity plans offer more covered services and more freedom of choice. PPO's and HMO's restrict the dentists you may see and offer fewer covered procedures. Insurance plans are not intended to cover all of your dental investment. Many pay on a percentage rate of pre-determined payment limits (UCR) and some on a fixed schedule of benefits. Many have deductibles, fee schedule limitations and annual maximums that you may not be aware of. Remember, insurance companies are in the number-crunching business and, as such, exist only to make a profit.

In treatment planning, we are treating patients with their individual needs. These needs are not controlled by the insurance company. During this process, we will discuss your needs as they are, without the restrictions of the insurance company. We will take into consideration the insurance benefits as we talk about sequencing your treatment and financial arrangements. We can't positively know what your insurance company will pay, so we will give you an estimate of your co-payment, not a guaranteed amount, before treatment begins. When you agree to treatment you are accepting direct responsibility for repaying the dentist. We will do our best in assisting you with your insurance claims.
